Wisconsin Federated Humane Societies, Inc. is committed to providing regular educational opportunities for all levels within shelter organizations. Anyone who works for animal welfare within the State of Wisconsin is invited and encouraged to attend W.F.H.S. sponsored seminars and training. National speakers, regional experts and Wisconsin shelter professionals provide workshops on a wide variety of topics of interest to people promoting the humane treatment and care of animals. Programs on the "people side of humane work", such as effective management, training for executive board members, and review of organizational issues are also promoted by Wisconsin Federated Humane Societies, Inc. A schedule for these special events, seminars and training sessions are posted on the WFHS website. A scholarship program is available for those needing financial assistance to attend training programs. |
